The organic farm Villa Dei Papiri in Syracuse is an ancient Sicilian farmhouse restored in the 19th century, it has an extension of 17 hectares where lemons (the femminello siracusano) and oranges (mori, tarocchi, and nocellari) are organically cultivated. The property is surrounded by papyruses more than 3 meters high, palms, ancient olive trees, almond trees, carobs, cypresses, bonsai trees, and other traditional Mediterranean plants. It is located 5 km from Syracuse, in the Natural Reserve of the river Ciane & Saline, three meters from the mythological Source Ciane one of the most interesting tourist destinations of the area. Just this source preserves the only autochthonous European station of the papyrus, a plant used since time immemorial for the preparation of those extraordinary paper rolls on which most of the history of human civilization has been handed down. The area also denotes an important archaeological interest as well as naturalistic, since numerous Paleolithic remains have been found such as graves and workplaces with caves and wells. These findings are priceless evidence of the presence of ancient human settlements Siculi. It is in this vast natural reserve that Villa dei Papiri is located, a place with a priceless historical and landscape heritage, surrounded by greenery and equipped with every comfort where the visitor has the opportunity to relax and appreciate the beauty that surrounds him.

The places to sleep are characterized by being bright and extremely comfortable, in colors, materials, objects, and details. Every choice has been made to enhance the sense of well-being, emphasizing some elements of Sicilian memory but in settings with a contemporary feel. An invitation to spend your stay without hurry, a bit out of the world but with everything around. The suites are distributed on two levels (first floor and mezzanine). They range in size from 45 sqm (suites with 2 beds) to over 65 sqm (suites with up to 5 beds). The annexes are surrounded by citrus groves and overlooking the gardens.
