Description
Surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves and wild gorges lies Picus Guest House overlooking lake Butoniga. Podmeja is a small, authentic village where you can buy local olive oil, eggs, jam, rakija...The beautiful natural surroundings invite for strolls or hikes. This is also a peaceful base for exploring the peninsula. The house is cozy and furnished with many hand-made items. As your neighbors we will be available to help you in any way we can. Kids are welcome!
Our guest house is an open space studio with bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and kitchen/living room with sofa bed downstairs. There is a hobbit house for kids in the garden next the the fire place for barbecue. We also have an old traditional house in the village where you can have barbecue or cook on the fire

I’m German but lived in Norway for many years. In Oslo I met Andelko, my Croatian man. We have two kids (Paulo 7 and Samu 5). About five years ago we moved to Istria to finish building our house. Andelko has a workshop in the village and makes beautiful things of wood. I like to spend my time painting or hiking, and I'm still learning Croatian. We love it here and are happy to share this beautiful hideaway with travelers
