The district of Sant'Ilario in Genoa is located on the hills of Nervi right in front of the sea and has become famous for being mentioned in the song "Bocca di rosa" by De André.
It can be reached through a series of steep narrow street - crêuze - and is a destination for excursions that allow you to enjoy easy walks immersed in nature and beautiful landscapes on a panorama that extends over the entire Gulf of Genoa.
The road that climbs up the hill is flanked by beautiful villas, some with frescoed facades in Art Nouveau style; suddenly, on the right side of the road, appears the short staircase leading to the small Romanesque church of San Nicolò.
